While Jubilee has funded programs in Uganda, the Diocese has a limited involvement in Uganda. There is a priest in Massachusetts, from Uganda, The Rev. Christine Nakyeyunec, who is interested in assisting with the facilitation of relationships between Ugandan communities and churches in our Diocese. You can reach Christine at nakyeyunec@yahoo.com.

A recent group travelling to Uganda in June 2009 from Church of the Redeemer, Chestnut Hill, planned their trip through an Christian non-profit organization called Pilgrim-Uganda. Pilgrim-Uganda is a Christian relief organization "created in response to the tragedy of more than a million Africans who reside as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Northeast Ugandan camps as a result of war, famine, AIDS, and economic blight". See Pilgrim's website at: http://www.pilgrim-uganda.org. The team from Church of the Redeemer published an excellent blog account of their trip that can be found at: http://web.me.com/dhuntermills/Uganda_Mission/Home.html.
